Ammonia may also be considered as one of the great home remedy for taking out lipstick stains from clothes. It is easily available in just a few dollars in any grocery store for cleaning purpose. Start the process of destaining by blotting the maximum possible stain off with water. Take a cotton swab. Moisten it with Ammonia. Dab the stain onto the stain. Once the stain is observed to get light, it is treated with warm soapy water.
Professional Stain Removers (like – Motsenbocker’s Lift Off, Xenit, Kleen-Touch) may also be used. Kleenco makes up the Kleen-Touch. Apply it on the stain and start from outwards to inwards. Place a white cloth (which must be clean) on the top. It would absorb the solution. Apply pressure to the towel with fingers on the brush’s back or a spoon might be used. This would keep the stain from spreading more. Rinse with Carpet Brite.
