2. Hair Tonic
This herb is great for hairs and could be used as a tonic which gives good results when used for an extended period of time. To prepare the tonic to take 250gms of the herb and boil it in a liter of coconut oil. Store it in a glass container and apply it on hairs before going to bed.
3. Hair loss
Amla is used as a tonic in many hair oils as it contains hair loss. It promotes hair pigmentation as well as hair growth. It also strengthens the roots of the hair and it maintains the luster as well as the color. It is good to eat fresh fruits and the paste of Amla on the roots for good color and growth as well.
4. Oily Hair
If you are suffering from oily hair problems than this remedy might be beneficial for you. Mix 120ml of amla juice in 120 ml of lime juice and you have hair wash that could cure oily hair problem.
5. Massage Oil
During summer the head gets heavy and cool massage could give much-needed relief. To prepare massage oil, mix Gooseberries and coconut oil and boil them. Strain it properly and store in the glass container. Use this as and when required. A massage with this oil before bed could give a sound sleep.
6. Diabetes
Gooseberry also has chromium and has much therapeutic value. Amla or rather Gooseberry stimulate groups of isolated cells which tend to secrete the hormone known as insulin. It reduces the blood sugar levels in the body. Extract 60 ml of amla juice and mix it with 1 tsp of turmeric. Take it once every day. This remedy might not be effective for severe diabetes cases. Check your blood glucose levels regularly to know if this remedy is effective for you.
7. Improves Immune System
It also contains astringent and antibacterial agents and therefore protects one against infection. It improves one’s body resistance.
8. Anti-aging
Amla juice prevents health-related hyperlipidemia caused due to attenuating oxidative stress in the process of aging.
9. Nail white spots
White spots on the nails is caused due to deficiency of vitamin C. Since this herb is a storehouse of this vitamin C, it helps in getting rid of this problem and other Vitamin C related ailments.
10. Cough
Add 1 tsp of amla juice or powder in a glass of milk and take it 2-3 times a day to get relief from bad throat. It could also be used for dry cough but you need to add some clarified butter or ghee into the above.
11. Obesity
Amla juice could be also used to reduce obesity and this also helps in reducing the cholesterol levels.
12. Dysentery or Diarrhea
On account of its cooling as well as strong laxative properties, it is useful in treating diarrhea as well as dysentery.
13. Skin ailments
Amla juice is beneficial in treating skin ailments. One must have the juice twice a day. One can have it with lemon pepper or any other spice. It helps in treating pimples and also prevents the sagging of one’s skin on account of aging process.
14. Nose Bleeding
It cures bleeding from the nostril. Add 1 tsp of its powder in a glass of water and drink it 3-4 times a day to stop the bleeding. Fresh amla juice if available would be always better for this problem.
